The resulting initiative from Natural Products Expo is Spark Change: A virtual journey of product discovery, networking and education that will both address the challenges of today and provide a meaningful virtual platform to help us stay connected year-round and into the future.

About Our Community Event Themes:

Spark Change is an initiative that will inspire the natural products industry around the overarching theme of Innovation for Good through product discovery, connections and content. After our Kickoff Event on August 26, we’ll host three community events based on community-oriented topics that represent growth, purposeful innovation and the ability to mobilize stakeholders across the industry. These themes and the trends within them will provide a powerful means for helping brands promote themselves and to connect with and engage buyers. It will also provide buyers another way of discovering brands and products within a digital environment.

The Organic and Regenerative theme is where we celebrate the organic movement and products as well as other progressive innovation rooted in efforts to improve our agricultural systems. More and more brands are involving themselves with production and putting effort against improved environmental practices in their supply systems. Some are making discrete one-off commitments, while others are looking at a whole-systems approach like devout brands concerned with strengthening organic or brands flipping the discussion from sustainable agriculture to regenerative.

The Modern Health theme is a place to celebrate the unique ability of our industry to meet the specific health needs of consumers today with functional food, supplements, good nutrition and lifestyle products. Life is busy and chaotic, and consumers are feeling the pressure to fulfill many responsibilities and endeavors. They’re seeking solutions to what ails them and to a proactive life of vitality in a mix of modern solutions and ancient, holistic approaches to health. Smart brands have noticed consumers are no longer on board with the apathetic status quo and are peeling back the layers of awareness, examining what is in the products they buy and, in the process, seeking whole nutrient dense foods, supplements, trusted health practices and holistic ways of living.
